Mini Storage at The Mill is owned and operated by local entrepreneurs Billy and Sami Gibson, who were fortunate to purchase the historic Mill Business and Professional Building in the Village of West Winfield, New York, in 2022.
Known locally simply as “The Mill,” the property has been a recognizable landmark in the community for more than 30 years. The building was extensively renovated in 1990 by the late Wendell Saunders, helping establish it as the business and professional property many local residents know today.
When Billy and Sami purchased The Mill, they saw an opportunity to make better use of an unconditioned portion of the building while preserving the character and history of the property. That space was carefully repurposed into two floors of climate-controlled self-storage, complete with insulation, heating, and cooling to provide a more comfortable and protected storage environment throughout the year.
Since opening, Mini Storage at The Mill has proven to be a valuable resource for local residents who need additional space for household belongings, seasonal items, business materials, and other possessions they want stored in a clean, climate-controlled setting.
The project reflects the way Billy and Sami approach their local investments: finding practical ways to improve the existing property while preserving what makes them unique, and create services that are genuinely useful to the surrounding community.
Today, Mini Storage at The Mill combines the character of a historic West Winfield landmark with modern, convenient storage in a setting that has been part of the neighborhood for decades.
